Walmart and LEGO deploy a super smart AR experience in-stores

This post popped in to my LinkedIn feed the other day and immediately caught my attention. Augmented Reality has tremendous potential to transform the shopping experience, especially when it comes to products like LEGO kits. The AR experience can bring the set to life, showing potential buyers the completed kit and enhancing the view with animations. Many AR experiences require an app, but this one is web-based, as long as the user knows how to scan a QR code to launch. I would like to think that most people these days know that the native camera apps on both Android and iOS can scan QR codes, but in reality, that my not be the case.

Either way, still a very interesting example.
